Kristin A. Boehm, M.D., F.A.C.S.
Board Certified Plastic Surgeon
Originally from New York, Dr. Kristin A. Boehm graduated cum laude from Dartmouth College with a B.A. in Biology. She completed her medical degree and five year general surgery residency at the University of Rochester School of Medicine and Dentistry in Rochester, New York. Following this she underwent a two year fellowship in plastic surgery at the University of Utah in Salt Lake City, Utah. She then moved to Atlanta, Georgia to do an additional fellowship in aesthetic and oculoplastic surgery at Paces Plastic Surgery. During this time she received the Gaspar W. Anastasi Award for Best Resident Paper Presentation at the Annual American Society of Aesthetic Plastic Sugery Meeting. She is Board Certified by both the American Board of Plastic Surgeons as well as the American Board of Surgery.
Following completion of her training, Dr. Boehm spent four and a half years in private practice in central Georgia. Here she was able to further hone her clinical skills in breast surgery, oculoplastic surgery, and reconstruction following Mohs surgery for skin cancer. She rejoined Paces Plastic Surgery in 2007 and performs surgery out of Northside-Cherokee Hospital as well as the Paces Surgical Center.
Dr. Boehm has coauthored several book chapters including "Complications in Endoscopic Surgery" in The Unfavorable Result in Plastic Surgery, "Vertical Reduction: Techniques" in Mathes' Plastic Surgery vol. 6, and "Mastopexy Techniques" in Cosmetic and Reconstructive Breast Surgery edited by Maurice Nahabedian. She served as video editor for the 2009 Techniques in Aesthetic Plastic Surgery series and was a section editor for the volume on midface surgery. She recently returned from a medical mission trip to Beirut, Lebanon where she operated on pediatric patients in a Palestinian refugee camp.
Dr. Boehm is a member of the American Society of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeons, the Southeastern Society of Plastic Surgeons, and a Fellow in the American College of Surgeons. She has particular interest in cosmetic and reconstructive surgery of the eyelids and periorbita.
