Overview of the Cosmetic Consultation
Consultation

While many people have friends who have undergone plastic surgery or used the internet to explore various procedures, the consultation is an important and essential step in considering plastic surgery. This is the initial visit with the surgeon who will be performing your procedure and the staff who will be with you throughout that process. In addition, this is your opportunity to ask questions you have pertaining to the procedure, and it is often a good idea to write these down and bring them to your appointment to ensure all your questions are adequately answered. The typical consultation takes about an hour and incorporates several steps.
Registration

Upon your arrival to Paces, the front desk staff will greet you and obtain basic information including health information and demographic sheets, photo consent forms and insurance cards if necessary. You will be escorted to our comfortable waiting room where refreshments and reading materials are available.
Physician Consultation

A clinic nurse will bring you to an examination room. The physician you have selected will meet with you to discuss your concerns and goals. The physician will give you their best opinion about what procedures may meet your objectives. Each physician has before and after photo books which you can see to better visualize realistic surgical results. This is also the time to ask any questions you may have about the procedure.
Meeting with the Patient Coordinator

After your medical appointment you will be then be taken to the patient coordinator’s office. The coordinator will discuss the cost of the procedure with you and various options for financing. If you have a date in mind or wish to schedule surgery, the coordinator will work to accommodate your schedule. If you are only in the information gathering stage, the coordinator will be happy to answer any additional questions you may have and remain a point of contact for future phone calls or scheduling needs.
Follow Up
Following completion of your visit, we remain available for questions or concerns. The physicians will gladly conduct a second consultation if you so desire. Many of our staff have had surgery by one of the doctors and will gladly talk to you about their experience.
